If you just cut meat out one day a week, you will reduce your chances of heart disease as well as cancers, diabetes and obesity. If you give up meat just one day a week, you will save water. Did you know that it takes between 1,800 – 2,500 gallons of water to produce a single pound of beef? Yes, 1 pound!!!
Don’t worry about not getting enough protein while going meatless…it is extremely rare to be protein deficient, even amongst vegetarians.
