So tell me, what is the big deal about garlic?
Garlic has been known as a mighty plant for many, many years. We know garlic can cause us to have bad breath. But what benefits do our bodies get from this mighty little plant?
A diet rich in garlic can protect the body against cancer. Garlic can also benefit the heart, it can help to prevent damage done to the heart caused by a heart attack. Garlic can aid in lowering blood sugar in diabetics.
Garlic can help with many maladies. But, in the age we live in….wanting things to happen in an instant, Garlic will NOT miraculously fix an ailment overnight. Just as it took time for our bodies and immune system to weaken, it will take time for Garlic to work it’s “magic”. Give garlic a chance to work in your body!! You will feel amazing!!
Here is a recipe I created to take to a picnic.
1 Zucchini, julienne sliced (to mimic spaghetti noodles)
1-2 large Tomatoes, diced
1 large handful Basil
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1/3 cup pine nuts
black pepper and salt to taste
Toss all together in a large bowl…. Enjoy!!
How easy is that?
